Two years ago I was blessed to be able to photograph this LSU loving family, and lets be honest, knowing they love purple and gold as much as I do, I was thrilled when Morgan called to book another session this year!!
Morgan and Mike wanted to do this session so they could have some updated family photos with their daughter but also wanted it in the comfort of their home. When I arrived I was welcomed to their beautiful home full of natural light and neutral colors and knew right away these were going to be great photos!! Once we started I couldn’t get enough of their son, as he was right on point and ready for each photo!!
We ventured outside to their beautiful covered patio and were thankful there was finally a slight touch to fall weather that morning! We took some more family photos as well as some one on one photos that hopefully the kids will cherish even more than Morgan and Mike once they get older.
Lastly we left their home to go around the corner where the golf course and Lake Norman meet up for a gorgeous view. This was a request Mike had made and I was happy to accommodate and fit it into their session. The weather was a little overcast but it allowed us to pretty much use any spot we wanted because we didn’t have to worry about the harsh sun. A little know photography tip, shade and overcast should be your friend when taking photos yourself, it allows everyone to open their eyes and avoid over exposed skin!
The following week I was so excite to get into these photos and couldn’t help but smile as I went through each and every one of the photos we captured. My favorite always seem to be the “in-between” moments that you don’t always realize I am going to get while we are having the session.
Mike and Morgan, it is always an honor to take a family’s photos but when yall asked to come back and document your family again, it is one of the highest complements I could get as a photographer. I am still laughing at how Jack was ready to take a photo before anyone and knew exactly how to pose for every photo!! Your kiddos are so sweet and outgoing and that is a direct reflection of the people yall are and I hope you know what what a great job you are doing. Thank you again for inviting me into your home and I hope you cherish these photos for years to come
